Michael Cedric Smith has appeared in chamber music concerts in New York and across the country. He has presented solo recitals in the Purcell Room in London and Weill Recital Hall in Carnegie Hall.  He has performed for the prestigious Guitars International Artist’s Series in Cleveland.

 

In chamber music Michael has performed with the St. Luke’s Chamber Ensemble, members of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and Margaret Lancaster, flute.  He performed the Concierto de Aranjuez by Rodrigo with the Brooklyn College Conservatory Orchestra, conducted by Tania León.

 

Mr. Smith is a graduate of the Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore, MD where he studied with Aaron Shearer.

 

Michael Cedric Smith currently teaches at the New York City College of Technology, the Caedmon Music School and maintains a private studio.
